1) Promoter

The promoter is Stove Fan Company (the “Promoter”).
Promoter details: Stove Fan Co Ltd, Forest Master House, Industry Road, NE6 5XB, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom, 16064789.

2) The Promotion

2.1 The Promotion is a weekly photo competition where entrants submit an original photo featuring Stove Fan Co products styled in their home.
2.2 Each week, one winning entry will be selected by the Promoter based on the judging criteria set out in these Terms.
2.3 This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, Facebook, or any other social platform.

(UK promotions should clearly state significant conditions and how competitions are judged under CAP/ASA guidance. )

3) Eligibility

3.1 The Promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
3.2 Employees of the Promoter, its group companies, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
3.3 The Promoter may require proof of age and UK residency. If satisfactory proof is not provided, the entry may be disqualified.

4) Promotion Period

4.1 The Promotion runs weekly on an ongoing basis until the Promoter ends it.
4.2 Each weekly round opens at 00:00 (UK time) every Monday and closes at 23:59 (UK time) every Sunday (the “Weekly Closing Time”).
4.3 The Promoter may amend the schedule or end the Promotion at any time, but will act reasonably and will not unfairly disadvantage entrants who have already entered.

5) How to Enter

5.1 To enter, submit your details via the official entry form and upload one photo per entry.
5.2 Unlimited entries are allowed, provided each entry includes a different photo.
5.3 No purchase is necessary.
5.4 Entries that are incomplete, corrupted, illegible, or submitted using automated methods (including bots) may be disqualified.

6) Photo and Content Requirements

6.1 Your entry photo must:

be your own original photograph (taken by you); and

feature Stove Fan Co products in a real home setting.

6.2 Your photo must not contain:

offensive, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content;

dangerous or illegal activity;

content that infringes a third party’s rights (including copyright, trade marks, privacy, or publicity rights).

6.3 If any other person appears in the photo, you confirm that you have their permission for the photo to be submitted and used in accordance with these Terms. For anyone under 18, you must have consent from their parent/guardian and the Promoter may request written evidence.
6.4 The Promoter may ask for evidence of authorship/permissions and may disqualify entries where evidence is not provided.

(Copyright is generally owned by the creator, and using images typically requires permission or a licence. )

7) Judging and Winner Selection

7.1 A panel appointed by the Promoter will judge all eligible entries received during each weekly round.
7.2 Entries will be judged on:

overall aesthetic and “cosy” feel;

creativity and styling;

how clearly Stove Fan Co products are shown.

7.3 The winner will be the entry that the panel considers best against the criteria. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

(ASA/CAP guidance expects clear judging mechanics and significant conditions. )

8) The Prize

8.1 Each weekly winner will receive:

one DIY Firelighter Kit; and

one 500ml bottle of Stove Fan Co essential fragrance (the “Prize”).

8.2 The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative is available.
8.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with an item of equal or greater value if necessary.

9) Winner Notification and Delivery

9.1 The Promoter will attempt to contact the winner by email within 7 days of the Weekly Closing Time.
9.2 The winner must respond within 7 days of the notification email to accept the Prize and provide a UK delivery address.
9.3 If the winner does not respond within that time, the Promoter may select an alternative winner from eligible entries submitted in that weekly round.
9.4 The Prize will be dispatched within 14 days of the winner confirming delivery details, subject to availability and delivery constraints.

10) Permission to Use Photos (Applies to Winners and Non-Winners)

10.1 Ownership: You keep ownership of your photo.
10.2 Licence granted by uploading: By submitting a photo, you grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your entry photo for the purposes set out below, including if you do not win.
10.3 Where we may use it: This licence allows the Promoter to use, reproduce, publish, display, share, and adapt the photo (for example, cropping, resizing, adding light text overlays, or minor colour correction) in any media, including:

the Promoter’s social media channels (including reposts, stories, reels, and pinned posts);

the Promoter’s websites and product pages;

email marketing and newsletters;

digital advertising (including paid social ads); and

press, PR, and promotional materials.

10.4 How long: The licence lasts for 24 months from the date of submission. Content already posted within that period may remain visible afterwards where removal is not reasonably practicable (for example, archived social posts or third-party reposts), but the Promoter will stop using it in new marketing after the licence period ends.
10.5 Credit: Where reasonably possible, the Promoter will credit you using the name or social handle you provide.
10.6 No payment: No additional compensation will be paid for the use of your photo under this licence.

(UGC licences like this are a standard way to obtain permission to use submitted content. )

11) Data Protection

11.1 The Promoter will use personal data submitted with entries to administer the Promotion, contact winners, and deliver prizes.
11.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy: [insert link].
11.3 The Promoter may publish the winner’s first name and county (or similar) to demonstrate the Promotion has been properly administered, if required.

12) Marketing (Optional)

12.1 If you opt in to marketing emails, the Promoter will send you marketing communications by email.
12.2 Marketing opt-in must be separate from the competition terms and you can unsubscribe at any time.

13) Disqualification

13.1 The Promoter may disqualify entries that:

breach these Terms;

appear to be fraudulent, automated, or manipulated; or

include prohibited content.

14) Liability

14.1 The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, corrupted, or incomplete due to technical issues.
14.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15) Changes and Cancellation

15.1 The Promoter may suspend, cancel, or amend the Promotion where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, or to ensure the Promotion is run fairly. The Promoter will act reasonably and in good faith.

16) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
